Unreasonable Video Internship

Unreasonable Video Internship

Unreasonable Group is a company that drives resources into and breaks down barriers for entrepreneurs solving the world’s biggest problems. Unreasonable operates as a multi-media company, a private global network, and an investment firm, and runs immersive programs for growth-stage entrepreneurs.

Throughout my two-year long internship at Unreasonable, I worked as a video production assistant. I edited live entrepreneur interviews and scripted company elevator pitches. I also helped spread the word on and promote the people and companies focused on solving humanity’s most pressing challenges.

Channel Trailer

One of the larger projects I completed was a trailer for the Unreasonable YouTube channel. The video was meant to draw in more viewers and subscribers, and featured highlights from a variety of videos across the youtube channel. Motion graphics and text were created using After Effects.

Explainer Videos

I also created videos to simply explain some of the companies Unreasonable supports, and how their technology and ideas are bettering the world. Oftentimes, complex scientific ideas needed to be explained simply and clearly for the general public. The explainer videos were posted to the Unreasonable Instagram.

Fireside Chats

Much of my time with Unreasonable was spent editing live entrepreneur interviews and talks that ranged from 10-40 minutes. I got really familiar with editing multi-cam sequences, and with correcting color and sound of unscripted events. These videos were posted to the Unreasonable YouTube channel.

Elevator Pitches

I also created elevator pitches explaining some of the Unreasonable companies, and the technology and ideas they develop. These videos were posted to the Unreasonable YouTube channel.

  • Explaining complex businesses and scientific ideas in digestible ways

  • Using stock footage and sound to effectively communicate complex ideas

  • Correcting color and sound efficiently
